ADO-EKITI – Theambition of the People’sDemocratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, AlhajiAtiku Abubakar and his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi received a boast as a group of Nigerians in diasporaendorsed it.
The Malaysia based group, “Nigeria Youth Ambassadors for Good Governance” (NYAFGG) made its position known in a statement signed by its President Mr. Amarachukwu Felix and Vice President Mr. Toyin Ajewole (Lateef).
In the statement which was made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, the group said, “Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora can no longer afford to risk their future on empty promises of the present administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari and his cabals.
“Without mincing words, the present administration in Nigeria has failed to accord the welfare of the citizenry both at home and in the diaspora a priority as promised during the build up to the 2015 general elections,” the statement reads in part.”
It promised to form alliance with National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Asia, Ohanaeze ndi Igbo, Hausa, community, Urhobo Community, Yoruba Community, the Nigerian Community and the Nigerians in the Diaspora Asia, to mobilise support for PDP.
“Nigeria needs a visionary leader to move forward as against its present stagnation which had affected all the citizens since the inception of the present administration in 2015. And there is no other opportunity than now to effect a change in the leadership for the progress and development of all.
“After vigorous research and background checks on candidates of all political parties for the 2019 general elections in Nigeria, the investigations had rated Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Peter Obi ahead other candidates including President Buhari in terms of economy recovery and advancement forthe nation.”
The group described the PDP candidate as job creator, friend, patron and father to Nigerian youths, hence the need for Nigerian youths both at home and in the diaspora to rally support for him to restore the lost glory of Nigeria economically.
