Tiemoue Bakayoko edges closer to AC Milan with the help of Gonzalo Higuain.
The Frenchman has found his bearings in Serie A after a dispiriting start at AC Milan when even his head coach Gennaro Gattuso publicly and repeatedly demanded more from the Chelsea loanee.
AC Milan tier 2 source Luca Serafini told Milan TV:
''It's clear there is a buy-out clause in Bakayoko's contract and Higuain's transfer to Chelsea means Milan will have a discount on the previously agreed price in the summer.''
The said fee was understood to be in the region of €35m, as per various sources on the web. Now it appears the Rossoneri would land a quality player for less.
Bakayoko has become almost pivotal to the current side for all their struggles. Even in defeat, the 24-year-old impresses fans. The last time out though AC Milan beat Genoa 2-0 and the high-profile loanee was the star.
As for Higuain, he's all but certain to have his medical at Cobham, perhaps even later on Tuesday. Minor details are left to be agreed on while AC Milan are pushing for Genoa goalscorer Krzysztof Piatek as a replacement.
