Robert Lewandowski has broken the Bundesliga record for the most goals scored in a single season.
The record was set by Gerd Muller 49 years ago.
The Polish striker entered the final game of the season needing only one goal to make history.
Lewandowski’s moment arrived in the 90th minute when he latched onto a parried shot on the edge of the six-yard box, rounded the keeper and slotted into the back of the net.
In doing so, the Bayern star scored his 41st goal of the 2020/21 season, a new record in German football history.
