According to a report by Michael Akor Juku, the sad event occurred along Tyowanye town in Buruku local government area of Benue state, on Thursday 27th September 2018.
Michael Akor Juku confirmed from the investigating police officer that the pastor boarded a red Honda vehicle along with four young men (not knowing that they were deadly armed robbers) and one elderly man before the fatal accident.
The cleric went to Adikpo, in Kwande local government area, for a function and was travelling to Otukpo, before the ugly incident.
It was reported that after the accident, various items such as charms, large sums of money, gun and a bible were found in the car as the corpses of the victims were brought out from the wreckage.
It was gathered that the four boys alleged to be members of a robbery gang, traveled to Adikpo village, to acquire spiritual powers to fortify themselves as it’s been reported that the suspected hoodlums are notorious for robbery operations in their area.
According to reports, all the passengers in the vehicle died on the spot due to the heavy impact of the collision as can be seen in the wreckage of the vehicle he boarded that evening.
