Founder of Daar communications, Raymond Dokpesi who was arrested on Friday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja has regained his freedom.
Naija News reports that Dokpesi regained his freedom after he was released from detention.
Recall that Dokpesi was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, while he was returning from a medical trip in Dubai hospital.
A tweet from his TV station’s Twitter handle, @AIT_Online announced the arrest on the president of Daar Communications on Friday and quoted an immigration officer as saying “Dokpesi is on the federal government’s security watchlist and that there were instructions from above to arrest him on arrival.”
In a similar vein, while giving an update on the arrest of the Daar Communications President, Dokpesi’s TV station’s Twitter handle tweeted; “UPDATE: Media magnate, Raymond Dokpesi, has been released after over an hour of detention at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday afternoon.
Chief @RaymondADokpesi was detained on his return from a medical treatment /operation at the American Hospital Dubai, by a security operative who said he had orders from above.”
