APC suspends Abdulmuminu Jibrin for 12 months for being involved in alleged anti-party activities
The ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) has suspended a member of the House of Representatives, Abdul Muminu Jibrin Kofar, representing Bebeji /Kiru Federal Constituency for 12 months.
A statement released by APC Chairman in Bebeji local government area of Kano state, Alhaji Sulaiman Sabo Gwarmai, says Jibrin has been involved in anti-party activities. A committee set up to investigate the anti-party allegation leveled against him, found him guilty and recommended that he be suspended for 12 months.
“Ranging from article 21, paragraph A (ii) (v) and (vii) the executive committee adopted the report and hereby suspend Abdul Muminu Jibrin Kofar for 12 months.’’ the statement in part read
The statement said the state and National levels of the party have been advised to effect the immediate expulsion of Jibrin who according to them, has committed various offenses.
‘’The offenses which were also found to be contrary to article 21. Paragraph A (ii) (v) and (xi) of the party constitution, ’the statement said.
Jibrin who was the campaign Director-General, Gbajabiamila/Wase Speakership team, has been having a running battle with the chairman of APC in Kano state, Abdullahi Abbas.

In 2016, Jibrin was suspended from the House of Representatives for six months following his faceoff with the then speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara.
