BREAKING: Presiding Officer absconds with polls results in Kaduna

The Collation Officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission at Birnin -Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State , Prof. Sule Mohammed, says he cancelled the results of a polling unit because the presiding officer absconded with the results.
Mohammed, a lecturer at the Ahmadu Bello University , Zaria , stated this while presenting the results of the LGA at the Kaduna State INEC office on Monday .
The Collation Officer said findings by him revealed that the presiding officer took the decision in order to protest non payment of his allowances .
He , however , added that he had given details of the presiding officer to the security agencies for necessary investigations.
He said , “ We waited in vain after the exercise had been concluded for several hours , only to be told that the P. O . had disappeared with the results.
“ We later gathered that the young man said he took the decision in order to protest the non payment of his allowances by INEC . ”
Meanwhile, the results announced by Mohammed showed that APC polled 33, 786 in the LGA , while the PDP scored 8, 206.
