Philippe Coutinho returns to Liverpool to party with former teammates
Phillipe Coutinho gave Reds fans the surprise of their life when he returned to Liverpool last night. But the Brazil national, who moved to Barcelona from Liverpool in January for £145m is not returning to Anfield. The star midfielder was back in Merseyside for the birthday party of Roberto Firmino's wife, Larissa Pereira. The all-white themed party was captured and snapped throughout the night by Firmino's fellow teammates including Fabinho and Alberto Moreno. But fans were shocked when Moreno first posted a picture of himself and Coutinho with the caption: "I've missed you so much brother." Firmino himself later posted a video of him and Coutinho sharing a joke and having a sing. Pereira's party was also attended by WAGS Rebeca Tavares and Natalia Becker, who enjoyed a night of live music and dancing. Barcelona signed 25-year-old Coutinho in January for a record-breaking £142m deal - one of the most expensive transfers of all time. He signed a five-and-half year deal at the Nou Camp telling press the transfer was a "dream come true". Upon his departure from Anfield, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "The club did everything within our means to convince Philippe that remaining part of Liverpool was as attractive as moving to Spain.
